Barbara Anna Husar

* 1975 in Feldkirch (AT), lives and works in Vienna (AT)

During her voyages to the Sinai desert, since 1996, Barbara Husar developed her magnum opus called DATA EXCHANGE.  Composed of sculptures, photography, film and performance the work's starting point is drawing. Husar uses a distinguishable imagery as goats, fireplaces or Marilyn Monroe to reference the different cultural milieus and their interfaces in which the artist arranged herself.  The central allegory of information exchange in her works forms the umbilical cord; Barbara Anna Husar provides them from her own herd of goats.
