"I never was a painter"- says les tardes goldscheyder.  Yet still painting and writing is existential to him. At the age of 15 he lived on the streets, for eight years he was a so-called "Karlsplatz-child". It was art that kept him alive. Through art he also felt the possibility of keeping in touch with his female companion. She died on the streets - "SHE was a painter". Thus his paintings are states of tension, atmospheric images, extreme in expression, consistent in treatment, the materials of his objects are found objects, raw and poetic at the same time: remembering to move on.
